The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

     

    Position

    Triumph is actively recruiting a summer 2019 Industrial Engineering intern to support a range of responsibilities in a high pace manufacturing production environment. The internship provides a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the implementation of new factory floor Inventory layout redesign to promote optimal manufacturing flow and inventory space conservation
    • Support  manufacturing/operations processes aimed at improving productivity, implementing continuous improvements, operational efficiencies and to reduce cost while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
    • Design systems to integrate workers, machines, and information to make products or provide services
    • Develop fixtures and tooling, manufacturing or process layout, work instructions
    • Eliminate waste in production or manufacturing processes
    • Develop and report performance metrics
    • Implement corrective actions
    • Design and develop manufacturing methods to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and space.

    Qualifications

    • Junior or Senior Year, minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Pursuing a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
    • Innovative approach for driving process efficiencies and cost reduction
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent analytical, and problem solving skills
    • Good writing ability
    • Self-motivated with positive interpersonal and team skills
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work with all levels in the organization
    • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident
