    Triumph Electronics and Control is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 530 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

     

    Position

    Triumph is actively recruiting a Supply Chain Intern to support a range of technical responsibilities in a high pace manufacturing production environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.

    The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent analytical, and problem solving skills, good writing ability, and must be self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills. Familiarity with principles of manufacturing production line layouts, knowledge of LWW continuous improvement philosophies and must be pursuing a BS degree in Supply Chain.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
    • Support Supplier Development projects and propose process improvements to drive cost reductions and delivery improvements.
    • Data mining and trend analysis of Quality and Operational systems.
    • Update database information.

    Qualifications

    • Qualified candidates must be a rising Junior or Senior Year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies used in eliminating waste from manufacturing processes needed.
    • Innovative approach for driving process efficiencies and cost reduction
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
    • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent resident
