    Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.


    JOB DUTIES:     Employee must be able to work and operate with minimal supervision and perform set ups with leadership supervision. Also operate CNC mills, Deburr parts and drill or form metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties:


    • Perform a variety of tasks that include; milling to specifications.
    • Review set up sheets and specifications. Determine machining sequence and dimensions of finished work piece.
    • Performs set up and diversified operations per work instructions.
    • Measures work pieces for conformance to specifications both b/p and work order.
    • Notifies supervisor of discrepancies and assist in RCCA activities.


    • High school diploma and college degree or equivalent in work experience (min. 3 years)
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Blue Print and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write notes for between shift tie ins.
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
