    CNC Machinist Positions:


    Position Description:


    Triumph is seeking candidates who are experienced CNC Machinist.  Candidates will be considered for open roles who have experience with operating CNC and Manual lathes, milling machines, mill/turn machines, and/or precision grinders.  Due to growth within our business we have multiple openings for CNC Machinists on the afternoon shift with a start time of 4:30 pm.  The Afternoon Shift Team receives a premium on all hours worked.  We provide training and development.  


    • Under the direction of a supervisor, the CNC Machinists are responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited lathes, milling machines, precision grinders, 
    • Reading blueprints or job orders for product specifications: dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, sequence of operations, and positioning of tools
    • Setup, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerical controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning, drilling, precision grinding and other operations
    • Ensuring that parts are created in a timely manner according to the schedule provided and according to the quality standards of the organization
    • Verify dimensions of machined part or tooling using micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, or other specialized measuring instruments
    • Knowledge of and experience with at least two (2) CNC operating systems such as Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens, etc. is an asset



    • High school diploma or GED required
    • General Machinist Certification  or relative work experience and machinist knowledge
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience with precision machining in a production environment
    • Experience with aerospace, nuclear or automotive tier 1 Manufacturing processes an asset
    • Experience with AS9100 an asset
    • Clear Background Records Check
    • Meet the registration requirements of the Controlled Goods Program
    • Able to work in Canada, Canadian citizen or permanent resident


    • Must have minimum 3 years’ of progressive experience operating CNC machines such as vertical and/or horizontal lathes and milling machines and or mill/turn machines
    • Coop Experience and asset
    • Knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with a good understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions
    • Good knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines
    • Experience with at least two (2) different CNC operating systems an asset
