    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for leading capital planning, business continuity, process and equipment capacity, and facility layout. Integral in equipment selection and responsible to commission, improve, and decommission said equipment.
    2. Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, serve as building systems technical expert and provide leadership of Maintenance personnel and day-to-day operation of building systems and staff.
    3. Essential to providing input in the areas of growth and rightsizing of business capital, improvement, and process.
    4. Observe, support, and contribute to the Company safety programs, policies and initiative. Key member for emergency preparedness.
    5. Solicit and evaluate bids and proposals as they relate to vendor selection and project management of facility related goods, subcontractors, and services.
    6. Ensures all facility maintenance vendors are legally in business and have the appropriate liability and worker’s comp. insurance.
    7. Manage facility or equipment capital projects as appropriate. Coordiante facility modification projects.
    8. Manager vendor contracts and budget; such as waste services, HVAX/chiller preventative maintenance, grounds services, etc.
    9. Ensure availability of maintenance staff and supplies.
    10. Use of 5S and CI within the department to maximize capabilities of capital and resources.
    11. Utilize manpower, equipment, and material resources to manage uptime, change over, standard work.
    12. Ensure proper safety procedure is followed within a team environment.
    13. Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture which supports the Company’s overall business objectives and goals by providing leadership in issues that involve “cost, quality, process, schedule and people”.
    14. Maintain clean work environment in full compliance with company, customers and government regulations.

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Supervises entire maintenance facility department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, employee development and performance reviews.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in EE or ME or equivalent in experience.
    • 3-5 years related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred.
    • Knowledge of all relevant manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
    • Knowledge and application of TPM, 5S, preferred.
    • Extensive knowledge and application of building and equipment maintenance, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chilled water/cooling, and constructions process.
    • Must be up to date on local, state, and federal regulations and compliance concerning building maintenance, permits, environmental requirements, safety exposure, etc.
    • Understand and interpret engineering drawing such as general constructions, electrical and mechanical.
    • Strong analytical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude with proven problem solving abilities.
    • Exhibits strong mathematical skills with ability to calculate in percent, fractions, decimals, degrees, volume, etc. as well as knowledge in geometry and trigonometry.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to lead a cross functional team.
    • Basic Computer skills using windows and MS Office Suite.
    • Strong planning and project organizational skills with ability to plan over several months of time span with multiple projects and inputs from both external and internal sources.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all staff in a group or individual level.
    • Must be eligible for forklift certification.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Must be a US Person as defined under ITAR/EAR Regulation.
