We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. 
    Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph employs approximately 150 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems.
    Reporting to the Op-Co Quality Director, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who provide subject matter expertise throughout the supply chain within the United States performing product acceptance and supplier performance management. 


    The selected candidate will have experience in Supplier Quality Management; specifically, working as a remote team member. Be accountable for collaborating with team and their respective suppliers, evaluate and recommend solutions that involve technical and contractual issues throughout the supply chain. The candidate duties will include but are not limited to the following responsibilities:


    • Partner with Supply Chain Management personnel in supporting suppliers performance improvement activities
    • Source inspection, first article inspection, Production Process Baseline, surveillance, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
    • Participate (as required) in Supplier's RCCA and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
    • Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier daily.
    • Drive strategies resulting in optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System
    • Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action
    • Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks
    • Manage metrics and reports using Supplier E-Net applicaiton


    Minimum Requirements:

    • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10+ years related professional experience
    • 3-5 years related supplier quality management experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
    • Ability to travel 25%-50%.
    • Must be a US Citizen. This position may be located at a facility that requires special access.


    Required Skills:

    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.
    • Must have strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to work within the supply chain to identify and drive root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative, qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner.
    • Must have practical knowledge of one or more RCCA Root cause analysis tools (8D, A3, Apollo),
    • High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in MS office tools. Understanding and experience with AS9100, AS9145, AS9103, AS9117.

    Desired Skills:

    • Technical degree in Engineering, Math, or Science.
    • Equivalent experience when coupled with desired quality science skill will also be considered.
    • Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE/CMQOE certification a plus.
    • Demonstrated quality science expertise the following areas:
    • Practical understanding of System/Process thinking (Deming).
    • Statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, Six Sigma, FAI, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA process auditing or validation, corrective action validations, and supplier quality management.
