Triumph Gear Solutions located in Park City, UT is seeking a temporary/contract Material Buyer for a 4-6 month period.

     

    Responsibilities

    • This position reports to the Purchasing Manager and works under minimal supervision.
    • Responsible for:
    • Raw material (DFAR compliant 9310 & 4000 series bar) that is regularly purchased in a lean environment.
    • Responsibility for plants indirect spends (MRO) purchases.
    • Addition shared responsibilities with other departments and Enterprise Sourcing agreements, by means of customer qualifications or by decisions reached by internal approval vendor lists (AVL) & strategic sources.
    • Buying materials of the right quality, in the right quantity, at the right time, at the right price.
    • Complete accountability for material & service quotation
    • Conducting cost/price analysis
    • Developing supply sources
    • Maintaining purchased records
    • Negotiating, corresponding with vendors
    • Reconciling delivery dates, receipts and vendor invoices

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience.
    • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills a must.
    • Must understand raw material and MRO purchasing.
    • Ability to read blueprint
