    Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Electronics & Control employs approximately 500 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include specializing in the design, development, certification, manufacture and repair of fuel pumps, fuel metering units, fuel controls and electronic engine control systems for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft servicing military, commercial, regional and business jet market segments.

     

    We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer who will develop robust processes for CNC machining centers. Support the production area by providing technical guidance and troubleshooting skills for the various components for blowers, pumps, and control units. Identifying tooling needs, developing tooling layouts, developing new cutting tools, and making corrections to programs as required.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare CNC programs for multi-axis milling equipment
    • Provide technical support regarding all safety and ergonomics issues within the area
    • Drive cost reductions to support the business performance
    • Use Lean, Six Sigma, A3 and other problem-solving tools in driving to root cause and developing corrective actions.
    • Develop, prepare, and maintain manufacturing process routings, drawings, and tool sheets
    • Design and procure tooling, fixtures, gaging, and write CNC programs to support the manufacturing process instructions
    • Train employees as necessary with the processes for processing components
    • Develop quotations for components

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • 3-5 years CNC manufacturing engineering experience
    • Must have CAD/CAM software knowledge
    • Must have CNC programming with G and M codes experience
    • Prefer knowledge of special processes: nitriding, heat treating, plating, and masking
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization while remaining customer oriented
