    About the Opportunity
    Help us succeed by doing your part as a member of our Paint Shop department as a Painter.

    Major duties of a Painter include:

    • Paints surfaces of aircraft parts applying knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques, using spray painting equipment, power tools, and work aids by performing the following duties:
    • Sprays specified amount of thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings, such as paint, lacquer, sealer, or enamel, onto prepared surfaces, using spray equipment.
    • Strips, sands, masks, and repaints surfaces, and blends and polishes finish to match surrounding areas, manually or using portable power tools.
    • Regulates controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
    • Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
    • Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with industry standards
    • Records types and amounts of paints used for environmental regulation reporting.
    • Records completion of painting operations on planning documents.
    • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by cleaning paint booth area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Understands coating and cure times and schedules work to meet schedule requirements.



    • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
    • At least two years of industrial paint/prime application experience is desired.
    • Must be proficient in the usage of hand tools.
