    Triumph Electronics & Control is a leading global independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket / spares end markets.


    We are currently looking for a Calibration Technician to join our Quality organization.  This is a union position on our first shift which is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The starting hourly rate for the role is $17.87 with an excellent benefits package.


    In this role you will perform a variety of operations involving gage setup, inspection and calibration of gaging and fixtures.  You will perform simple Oven SAT calibrations, interpret blueprints and measure gages and fixtures using Lab Standards.


    • Layout gage on angle iron, sine bars, surface plate etc. and check relative dimensions to qualifying surface. Check to industry standards, company procedures or gage and T. D. drawings using measuring instruments such as calipers, gage blocks, roll readings, micrometer, shadow graph and sight gages.


    • Inspect Gaging prior to calibration for visual defects, clean gages using solvent and/or degreasers.


    • Collect, measure, analyze, and record data gathered during calibration. Create new gage records in Gagetrak database and maintain Gagetrak database. Maintain and create other records in computer databases where needed. Perform adjustments to gages in calibration when necessary.


    • Identify out of tolerance conditions and perform minor adjustments, component replacements, or repairs.
    • Work with engineering, tool crib and manufacturing to establish solutions to correct or replace items that have failed.


    • Issue and return gages to the crib when necessary. Quote and order replacement gages. Replacement of complex tooling and fixtures will be referred to calibration team lead or designee.


    • Keep abreast of gage calibration techniques and equipment used in the performance of calibration operations. Provide assistance to production when emergencies arise that may have been due to a calibration issue. Perform other duties as assigned.



    • High School Diploma/GED required.
    • Up to one (1) year of related gage calibration experience needed.
    • Gagetrak or Gagepak experience a plus.
    • Certificate from Technical program/school a plus.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Able to read and interpret instructions and drawings.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Prior experience using calipers, gage blocks, micrometers and site gages preferred.
