    Shift:  2nd Shift


    1. Develops welding sequences, techniques and procedures.
    2. Performs welding parts and/or assemblies subject to pressure such as hydraulic and aqueous lines, structural and/or stress assemblies, complete manifold assemblies, and parts and/or subassemblies of light gauge material.
    3. Setup and operate automatic and semi-automatic weld equipment, including mig, tig, plasma arc, and resistance welding equipment as required with little or no supervision.
    4. Setup, fit-up, trimming, assembly, forming, position, align, clamp, bolt, and tack-weld diversified and involved assemblies and subassemblies.
    5. Prepares resistance welding schedules and machine setups on machines requiring qualifications.
    6. Works in conjunction with customer surveys and teams, and with vendors, subcontractors and suppliers in audits and selling situations projecting a positive company image.
    7. Setup operation to weld experimental, prototype and production assemblies and/or subassemblies developing procedures as required, for qualification, certification and/or making weld schedules on various types of metals.
    8. Repairs self-detected defects per engineering instruction.
    9. Performs functions to include receiving and movement of material, issuing of stock, cycle counting, packaging, shipping and all computer systems transactions to support product flow and data integrity.
    10. Performs daily maintenance and minor machine repairs on all types of weld equipment.
    11. Performs self-inspection as a “Certified Employee”.
    12. Ensure proper safety procedure is followed within the team environment.
    13. Maintains a clean work environment in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.
    14. Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture which supports the Company’s overall business objectives and goals.

    • HS diploma or GED plus Two-year trade school or equivalent education/experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of direct experience.
    • Knowledge of engineering drawings and weld symbols.
    • Able to weld ferrous and nonferrous metals.

    • Able to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, tool designs, etc.

    • Capable of becoming a “Certified Welder” by passing weld test certification. (removed: AMS-STD 1595 as this may not mean the other welders outside aerospace mfg. industry).

    • Ability to follow and comprehend both written and verbal instructions as well as present information in verbal and written form.

    • Must have basic mathematical skills in proportions, percents, and decimals.

    • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.


    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.



    Prior welding certification strongly preferred.



    Must be a US Person as defined under ITAR/EAR for consideration.
