    Large local aerospace manufacturing company looking for Sheet Metal Mechanics/Forming Technician to assist our manufacturing department meet our large demand of product and orders. We are need of experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics with Forming experience that want to join a great company that cares about its employees. This is for a night shift position with a start time of 3:30PM.

    Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials. Shapes metal material over anvil, block, or other form. Inspects assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product.

    * Hand Forming
    * Hydraulic Press Forming
    · Education and/or experience consist of a high school diploma or equivalent, entry - 2 year forming operations experience (preferred in the aerospace industry).
    · Ability to read manufacturing drawings, specifications and instructions.
    · Familiar with various materials.
    · Experience in low volume, high quality manufacture, or prototyping of ferrous components (advantage)
    · Ability to work Overtime as needed to meet business needs.
    · Regular, reliable attendance.
    · Ability to measure finish ground components using typical manual inspection tools.
    · Ability to apply shop mathematical concepts such as trigonometry.
    · Communication skills required consists of the ability to read and interpret documents such as: (a) safety rules, (b) procedure instructions, (c) operation and maintenance instructions, (d) complex blue-prints, (e) work order documents, (f) company policies.
    · Ability to work within Lean Manufacturing and ISO / AS9100 principles.
