    Triumph Integrated Systems provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufactures around the globe. We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. 
     
    Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph employs approximately 120 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems. 

    The Quality Director will be responsible for leading the Site Quality organization to drive best in class performance and drive a positive Quality and continuous improvement culture to effectively manage quality cost. This includes defining quality processes, standards, specifications, and other technical data necessary to meet manufacturing process requirements, FAA and Company quality requirements as well as supporting other functions in the pursuit of excellence. S/he will also oversee, monitor, and document employee training, performance, and compliance with Company policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include regular interactions with site specific high level customers.


    The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the site business strategy as well as promoting close collaborative interactions with the Engineering, Programs, Operations and Human Resources management teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Establish and drive quality initiatives that advance improvement in both delivery and cost, while aligned to Corporate Core Value Drivers and Business Unit/ OpCo level KPI’s..
    • Ensure the quality organization is a proactive partner and change agent in driving company execution and improving business operations by thinking critically about business problems, developing easy-to-implement solutions and clearly communicating them to business partners.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with key customers to be recognized as a responsive quality leader.  Ensure robust and timely root cause and corrective actions, when needed.
    • Ensure that the quality of products/processes meet or exceed customer requirements.
    • Maintain all required governmental and 3rd party certifications, including regulatory, across the OpCo. Drive common QMS procedures across sites.
    • Build and lead a high-performance quality organization by actively engaging in coaching/mentoring, knowledge transfer, training, performance management, career development and succession planning.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
    • 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations and quality assurance experience in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry with exacting/demanding requirements.
    • Strong experience and working knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations.
    • AS9100 QMS body of knowledge experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in leading a hands-on quality culture of personal accountability, sound judgement, empowerment, pride in performance and delivering superior business results through the effective execution of the Quality Management System.
    • Familiarity with advanced Quality Processes i.e.PPAP/ APQP/PFMEA/8D Problem Solving.
    • Possess a leadership style that is effective at influencing organizational cultural change
    • Accomplished in building positive relationships with co-workers, suppliers and customers.
    • Possess effective executive level verbal and written communication skills, a compelling desire to make a positive impact and the organizational/motivational skills to make it happen.
    • Overall knowledge, skills, and abilities that reflect: Leadership, Strategy Development, Financial Acumen, Negotiation Skills, Organization Skills, Communication Skills, Team Work, Creativity, and Visionary Forward Thinking.
    • Lean 6 Sigma skills and experience. A plus
