We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs.  

    Based in Redmond, WA, Triumph Fluid, Power and Actuation employs approximately 150 personnel. The Company’s key products and services specialize in motion, control and power systems for commercial and military aircraft and rotorcraft.

    We are seeking an Assistant Controller who will assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee month end closing process.
    • Directs and evaluates organization’s accounting functions. Offers recommendations and proposes improvements to the Controller regarding the organization’s application of accounting principles, practices and safeguards.
    • Trains, leads and directs the work of others in various organizational functions to include but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, and Payroll.
    • Prepare excise and property tax reporting.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
    • Consistently seeks ways to improve the organization’s accounting procedures to ensure proper reporting.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent combination or education and experience.
    • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
    • 5 to 7 years progressively responsible accounting management experience supervising people, preferably in an Aerospace/Engineering environment.
    • Previous experience in a Controller / Assistant Controller role preferred.
    • Government contractor and FAR experience preferred
    • Experience with ASC 606 a plus
    • Analytical thinker with innovative problem solving skills
    • Strong working knowledge of general accounting, monthly close processes, and GAAP/IFRS concepts
    • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization both internally and externally
    • This position requires a well-organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual.
    • Expertise with ERP systems including ERP system implementation and conversion.
    • Proficiency in HFM and MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills and knowledge; Crystal Reports experience is a plus.
