     Triumph Aerospace Structures Wichita produces close-tolerance parts built to customer design and model-based definition for a wide range of aluminum, exotic and hard metal structures. Core competencies include machining, turning, fabrication, processing and assemblies produced for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers serving the commercial, military, and industrial sectors.



    Purpose: Assist Operations Manager in daily manufacturing activities and reporting meeting the requirements of Triumph Aerospace Structures- Wichita procedures and policies.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:

    • Organizing, planning and coordinating plant assembly activities on multiple shifts.
    • Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the workflow of product.
    • Ensures operations and employees follow proper policies and procedures.
    • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Must work to continuously improve productivity in department.
    • Manage departmental performance measures, including detailed information about daily production, quality, sales, engineering and shipping. Report all information to Operations Manager.
    • Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
    • Performance management and hiring of the employees within department.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
    • 3 years in a Supervisor role or related experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 3-5 years of Supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead work of others, assign work and follow up on work assignments given.
    • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training or experience
    • Experience in CNC Machine Operation
    • Expert knowledge about tooling
    • Expert experience reading/interpreting blueprints
    • Aircraft/aerospace industry experience is highly preferred
