    Based in Valencia, CA, Triumph Fluid, Power and Actuation employs approximately 200 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, fabrication, assembly and testing of advanced, high quality and hydro-mechanical products.

     

     We are looking for an experience Supplier Quality Engineer who will be apart of the Supplier Quality Assurance team within Supply Chain Quality and be reporting to the Quality Manager and be performing product acceptance and supplier performance management.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with Supply Chain Management personnel in supporting supplier’s performance improvement activities.
    • Source inspection, first article inspection, Production Process Baseline, surveillance, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
    • Participate (as required) in Supplier's RCCA and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
    • Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier daily.
    • Drive strategies resulting in optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System.
    • Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action.
    • Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks.

    Qualifications

    • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, or Science. Equivalent experience when coupled with desired quality science skill will also be considered. 
    • 3-5 years related supplier quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, Aerospace and Defense industry preferred. 
    • Ability to understand and manage Supplier Quality processes and tools
      • Identify and drive RCCA, FAI, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA process auditing or validation, corrective action validations, and supplier quality management. 
      • Ability to work within the supply chain
      • Utilizing quantitative, qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner
    • Must have practical knowledge of one or more RCCA Root cause analysis tools (8D, A3, Apollo)
    • Understanding and experience with AS9100.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.  
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
    • High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in MS office tools.
    • Ability to travel 30%.
