This position will serve as an Entry Level Quality Engineer. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially or finished materials product.
The individual will be responsible for: • Validating Material Review Board (MRB) tag integrity and metric reporting. • Support corrective action investigations for causes of MRB defects. • Utilize collective analysis tools for evaluating defect trends. • Support the Program Team in the implementation of process improvements that prevent defect recurrence. • Supporting Customer monthly/weekly performance/program reviews and associated actions. • Reviewing internal and supplier First Article Inspections (FAI's) per Vought internal, SQAR (Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements) and AS9102 rewquirements • Utilizing Vought Operating Systems/Management Operating Systems (VOS/MOS) tools to drive continuous improvements. • Participate in audits of subtier supplier quality systems. Support suppliers in quality performance issues. • Participate in the Corrective Action Board meetings and support quality system reviews. • Utilize inspection tools and media to validate compliance with engineering requirements
Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place Devices and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; performs statistical analysis to assess cost and determine responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality system.
This position typically requires a college degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience. Must be authorized to work in the US.
Highly prefer college degree in any Engineering discipline.
