Our division focuses on aluminum extrusions and aluminum plating. The succesful candidate will have extensive experience in alumimun quality inspection in a manufacturing environment. This will be hands on job requiring walking the the manufacturing floor, assembly rooms, and quality control rooms. The Inspector uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical units and subassemblies.
This job is open to local candidates only withing the continental Unites States. This is a non-management; non-supervisor role.
The Quality Inspector will responsible for performing inspections to customers, regulatory and internal requirements. These inspections will be performed using mechanical and automated inspection equipment. The day to day activities that will be performed are: in-process inspections of detail components, inspections and verification of final assemblies, inspection certifications and machine parts from suppliers for conformance to requirements. Daily and weekly 5s activity to maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience. Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.
Use of mechanical inspection equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Indicators)
Review of certifications such as heat treat reports, process certifications, raw material
Experience with operating coordinate measuring machines is a plus
AS9102 review, creation, and inspection
Basic shop math
Use of Microsoft office products such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
Ability to read and follow work instructions.
