    Perform various machine operations such as set up and operations of computer numerical control machines to fabricate metallic material on a variety of parts working to very close tolerances. This machine shop runs production on 3 spindle - 5 axis CNC Vertical milling gantry type machinery such as Cincinnati Millacron. In addition we operate Handtmann single axis machinery and Hypermach machinery.
    This is a night shift only position


    Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Will be responsible for working closely with others including machine helpers, leads, engineers, and quality control ensure the highest quality output. Will be responsible for machine setups and verifying NC programs. Will need to climb on top of table to ensure proper setups. 


    High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience. Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.

    Successful candidates must have 3 spindle - 5 axis CNC Vertical milling gantry type machinery

    Successful candidates should have aerospace manufacturing experience including working on long table setups.

    Should be familiar with various metallic materials including aluminum, and titanium.

    Must be able to read, interpret blue prints and aerospace documents.

    Must have the highest attention to detail.

    Ability to read a manufacturing drawing and their understanding of dimensioning and tolerance ·

    Ability to measure finished components using typical manual inspection tools ·

    Ability to apply shop mathematical concepts such as trigonometry ·

    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.·

    Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
