    This position will be responsible for the strategic sales of assigned product line to customers for company products and services. Works directly with customer’s engineering, purchasing and management teams to identify customers’ needs and opportunities – then leads company’s capture team and sales campaign including solution development. Garners market competitive intelligence and responsible for developing Win strategy. Participates in establishing and responsible for achieving bookings and sales revenue objectives, as well as, determining potential of product acceptance in new market segments or adjacent markets. Communicates official Triumph AeroStructures Interiors (TAS-I) issues and concerns to the customer. Such issues and concerns may include but are not exclusive to: collection of past due accounts receivable, delivery issues, communication and process problems, requests for data and other special requests to and from the customer.

     

    This position may have a specific technical or product focus such as Composite including reinforced thermoplastic, Thermal Acoustic Insulation, or one of the other company aerospace product lines. In such case requisite experience, technical skill and knowledge will be necessary to successfully fulfill the requirements of the job.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Prospects and develops strong customer relationships identifying new opportunities for sales growth at both existing and potential customers that meet strategic objectives.
    • Develops and executes tactical sales plans and campaigns.
    • Provides technical interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing and program management representatives.
    • Researches customer technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical specifications of company products.
    • Prepares, presents and conducts technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives.
    • Acts as Capture Manager for RFP, RFI activity.
    • Develops potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements.
    • Prepares sales forecasts.
    • Participates in the preparation of business plans, and product development plans.
    • Investigates new applications or improvements to products with customers.
    • Responsible for resolution of customer complaints.
    • Responsible for presentation of quotes; bid package reviews, lead, coordinate and respond to the customer.
    • Analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements.
    • Responsible for creation of sales and marketing strategic and tactical plans.
    • Responsible for initial Contract Review and Negotiation consistent with TAS-I policies and guidelines.
    • Maintains technical proficiency.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree (business with either finance or sales/marketing concentrations, or engineering) preferred.
    • Master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience desired.Experience 

    Experience:

    • Extensive (7 or more years) sales, marketing and product development experience of technical products for an aerospace manufacturing organization(s).  Broad knowledge of capture planning and execution, program management, manufacturing technologies and aerospace. 

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

    • In-depth knowledge of aerospace business; financial modeling; negotiation tactics. Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs. Ability to work with a diverse group of people in manufacturing, engineering, finance, and management. Ability to manage time effectively.
