    Responsibilities

    This position is part of the Corporate Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team, within the Supply Chain Quality organization and reports to the regional Supplier Quality Manager. The selected candidate will provide subject matter expertise throughout the supply chain within the East Region of the United States performing product acceptance and supplier performance management on behalf of all the Triumph Group Companies. The selected candidate will have experience in Supplier Quality Management; specifically, working as a remote team member. Be accountable for collaborating with team members at our Triumph companies and their respective suppliers, evaluate and recommend solutions that involve technical and contractual issues throughout the supply chain. The candidate duties will include but are not limited to the following responsibilities:

    • Partner with Supply Chain Management personnel in supporting suppliers performance improvement activities
    • Source inspection, first article inspection, Production Process Baseline, surveillance, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
    • Participate (as required) in Supplier's RCCA and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
    • Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier daily.
    • Drive strategies resulting in optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System
    • Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action
    • Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks

    Qualifications

    • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, or Science. Equivalent experience when coupled with desired quality science skill will also be considered. 
    • 6+ years related professional experience, 3-5 years related supplier quality management experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
    • Ability to work within the supply chain to identify and drive root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative, qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner.
    • Must have practical knowledge of one or more RCCA Root cause analysis tools (8D, A3, Apollo)
    • Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE/CMQOE certification.
    • Demonstrated quality science expertise the following areas:  Practical understanding of System/Process thinking (Deming). Statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, Six Sigma, FAI, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA process auditing or validation, corrective action validations, and supplier quality management. 
    • Understanding and experience with AS9100, AS9145, AS9103, AS9117.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.  
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
    • High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in MS office tools. 
    • Ability to travel 50%-75%.
    • Must be a US Citizen. This position may be located at a facility that requires special access.
