    Triumph Integrated Systems provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufactures around the globe. We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. 
     
    Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Electrons and Controls employs approximately 500 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include specializing in the design, development, certification, manufacture and repair of fuel pumps, fuel metering units, fuel controls and electronic engine control systems for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft servicing military, commercial, regional and business jet market segments.

    We are looking for a Quality Technologist who will be  responsible for providing support in multiple ways within the Quality System. With guidance and direction from senior level staff, you will execute specific organizational plans and quality improvement activities in targeted areas of the organization as well as provide quality assurance support to the quality organization and other departments of the organization as well as customers, suppliers and partners in specific domain of expertise. 

    In this position, you will also execute the Quality Assurance strategy of the organization in a support capacity to ensure continuous production of products and services consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. This includes supporting the generation of driver metrics as part of the continuous improvement philosophy.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Quality organization in maintaining compliance to all required internal and external standards.
    • Understand and follow all procedures and standards required to perform the duties of the position.
    • Declare and supports investigation for any escapes that might occur following approved methods. Contribute to applicable root cause and corrective action requirements.
    • Develop and analyze data as well as product and process performance as tasked and recommend improvement plans in targeted areas.
    • Support implementation of the plans.
    • Initiate efforts to become certified in specific process areas such as Non-Destructive Test, Calibration, Metrology, Performance Testing, Laboratory, Internal audit.
    • In support of required duties associated with the process.
    • Develop planning to become certified in required areas.
    • Support the initiatives of the organization in the development, implementation and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout the operation, with all the documentation required.
    • This would include providing quality planning support in the development and launch of new products, processes and services.
    • Participate in the internal Quality System Audit program for the organization.
    • Support the process in various capacities such as being on an audit team, helping to develop root cause and corrective action as applicable as well as improving the audit process. Facilitate customer or regulatory audits.
    • Provide support to the organization in their continuous improvement activities.

    Qualifications

    • Associates / Technical Degree (two years) (in appropriate discipline - Engineering / Science / technology / Quality, etc.) BS degree a plus
    • Up to 3 years of related experience is desirable; may consider a recent new grad with related internship experience.
    • Basic understanding of problem solving methods such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, etc., and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems is needed.
    • Knowledge of Quality Management System standards, implementation and certification processes such as AS9100, ISO-9001 or other industry specific standards.
    • Knowledge of requirements needed for customer-specific QMS certification programs.
    • Prior continuous improvement activities needed.
    • Basic knowledge of the tools and techniques of Lean Manufacturing needed, such as Value Stream mapping, 5S-Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-Up Reduction, etc.
    • Six Sigma Green Belt experience a plus.
