Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products.
Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product.
High school diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of related experience. Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.
Must know how to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings to meet part specifications.
Must know how to use power tools, air tools, and measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, air tools, OD checkers/tester.
Must know "shop math" to interpret tool dimensions to meet part specifications.
