About the Opportunity
Help us succeed by doing your part as a member of our Production Control/Resource Planning Team as a Production Control Expeditor.


A Production Control Expeditor manages production schedules and material requirements to coordinate and expedite a controlled flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules by performing the following duties:


Major duties of a Production Control Expeditor include:

  • Performs support of the production control function maintaining schedules and material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products.
  • Creates and tracks production jobs in Syteline manufacturing control database
  • Keeps departments informed about completion dates, material changes or substitutions, and schedule modifications.
  • Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
  • Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.
  • Moves production parts from one production site to another within the plant.
  • Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
  • Uses knowledge of Production, Procurement, and Engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
  • Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
  • Uses and updates computer and material/ production tracking software with all pertinent updates.
  • Other various duties as needed or as assigned.



  • Two years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior experience entering data in and using MRP systems preferred
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time in a climate controlled manufacturing environment is required
