Performs work in more than one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.


Under little to no Supervision, perform all duties necessary to set up, repair and maintain equipment, buildings, and grounds. Keep all records of work performed as required, including but not limited to Hazardous Materials and Hazardous waste, PM's, updates and repairs. Select and order required materials through the proper authority. Maintain a clean and safe work area.


  • Working closely with EHS Engineer, assists in providing a safe and effective work environment by overseeing, directing, and performing equipment installations, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Ensures building and grounds are maintained by performing, delegating, or contracting general maintenance duties.
  • Functions as a troubleshooter by responding to requests for maintenance and repair assistance from all departments at Triumph Actuations Systems - Clemmons.
  • Performs work in the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical wiring, sheet metal fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting, masonry, and welding. Knows applicable building and maintenance codes.
  • Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machine tools and equipment.
  • Service and Repair of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) equipment.
  • Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
  • Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements and other Certification regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.


  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certificates in maintenance work from an accredited vocational college or documented equivalent years of experience.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years in a manufacturing environment performing maintenance duties.
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline and Experience working with Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste preferred.
  • Read, write legibly, and understand English.
  • Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiple, and divide).
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude.
  • Attendance dependability.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility with changes in work requirements.
  • Ability to stay focused and meet deadlines, which may require overtime.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software. (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Understand basic terminology used in the job functional area.
  • Ability to read a blue print.
  • May require lifting, pulling and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching
  • Sitting for up to ten (10) hours per day, standing up to ten (10) hours per day, or a combination of sitting and standing.
  • Ability to hear and see, with or without the assistance of a device
