Triumph Engine Control Systems is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 120 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include highly engineered mechanical controls, actuation and componets as well as production of complex mechanical assemblies using external designs.  
We are currently in search for an Assembly & Test Supervisor to oversee operations of the Assembly department. This person will be responsible for overseeing the site’s Hydraulic and Assembly departments. 


  • Organize, plan, control and supervise employees engaged in the assembly of company products; ensuring that production is completed on schedule and in accordance with specification and quality standards.
  • Communicating processes, standards, specifications, and other technical data necessary to meet manufacturing process requirements, FAA and Company quality requirements as well as supporting other functions in the pursuit of excellence.
  • Will also oversee, monitor, and document employee training, performance, and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Will work closely with production control, engineering, and the manufacturing team to resolve production obstacles and improve techniques.
  • Responsible for development, cross-training, scheduling, and directing of team members.
  • Plans and supervises employees engaged in the assembly of company products according to planning and production control documents.
  • Establishes and monitors production schedules and volume against targets to ensure that commitments are met; resolves production problems and coordinates and expedites the completion of special orders.
  • Monitors the inventory and ordering of production materials, tools, and supplies and ensures that the assembly cells are maintained to provide for a smooth production flow and optimization of costs.
  • Participates in the development of new and effective processes and production techniques and processes.
  • Assists production engineering in the review of blueprints and engineering drawings to determine feasibility of assembly.
  • Coordinates with quality assurance to maintain standards of quality within the organization and conducts on-site inspection of work completed or in process to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Coordinates the training of assigned employees in new techniques to improve flexibility and enhance the capabilities of the organization.


  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  • Atleast 3 years in a supervisory / lead capacity with direct report; preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • At least 8 years of Hydro-mechanical / Electromechanical Test & Assembly experience; in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry.
  • Possess Lean/Continuous Improvement experience in a complex assembly and test environment; aerospace preferred.
  • Experience with 5S, Work Station Design, establishing Standard Work and Visual Factory Management tools.
