About the Opportunity
Help us succeed by doing your part as a member of our plant as a Material Handler/Part Marker. A primary function of the position consists of packaging parts and subassemblies prior to shipping or transfer to other functional area.

Major duties of a Part Packager/Material Handler include:

  • Prepare and layout parts received from outside and internal processing for the part marking process; Verify planning and/or PO is complete and that all open issues have been closed; Request QC and supervision support as required
  • Confirm part quantities are per appropriate paperwork
  • Mark parts according to work orders and customer specifications using ink-jet machine, or other methods.
  • Package part using packaging materials per work order and customer requirements to prevent damage during transportation and storage.
  • Enter jobs into Part Marking Log; Maintain log and report results to supervision as required
  • Clean ink-jet machine to maintain proper flow and final marking consistency; perform regular maintenance as required.
  • Load ink and properly dispose of spent cartridges in part mark machine.
  • Communicate with other functional areas as required to resolve part marking discrepancies.
  • Transfer parts from one operation to other work centers both physically and in the computer system.



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • At least two years of material handling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
