The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing Quality Engineering support to the day to day management of the Quality organization (Quality Engineering, Product & Tool Inspection, Audits and Calibration).  This position provides complete Quality support to site leadership and employees

within a fast paced production environment.

• Provide advanced data management services and solutions to Numerical Control Programming datasets and Quality Control data sets.
• Manipulate large data sets and present in various reportable formats.
• Provide technical support services, analyze current operations and identify opportunities to improve Quality Management system, safety, quality, cost, schedule and supplier performance.
• Provide custom software solutions for both data management and Metrology solutions for the production environment.
• Design, develop, configure and maintain customized software for in-house production applications through programming languages including Microsoft SQL Server, ASP.NET, HTML, VB.NET, Visual Basic, and Java Script.
• Data collection using metrology methods i.e..Laser Trackers, PCMM’s, Laser Projection, iGPS, Photogrammetry
• Utilize CATIA V4 and CATIA V5 to build inspection models for tools and product inspections
• Researches, designs, modifies and initiates advanced technological principles, theories and concepts to improve system and/or process reliability.
• Training and certifying of personnel to relevant SPA in the use of metrology equipment i.e. Laser Trackers, articulated arms, laser projectors, GPS networks and photogrammetry.
• Reviews, analyzes, and approves technical documentation that impacts QA/inspection activities or requirements.
• Participates in cross-functional teams to ensure that producibility, inspectability, reliability, safety and quality system objectives are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 6+ years Related Experience
• Aerospace Industry and/or Government Agency Industry.

• Must have a working knowledge of metrology equipment such as Laser Trackers (Leica, FARO, and API), PCMM (CimCore, Faro, Metris), Laser Projection (LPT, Virtek), Scanners, Photogrammetry and GPS networks.
• Experience AS9100 requirements and various customer digital product definition audits.
• High literacy and proficiency working with Spatial Analyzer, CATIA V4, CATIA V5, MS Office Suite, iGPS Metrology, PCMM (Romer, Faro), Verisurf, V-Stars as it relates to analysis of data
• Must be able to develop advanced technological ideas through the use of Microsoft Visual Studio (Visual Basic .NET, ASP .NET, Visual Basic for Applications), MSSQL, Windows Server 2003 Administration, and SQL Server Administration.
