    Responsibilities

    • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and drive cost effective initiatives focused on yielding improvement and capacity enhancement
    • Establish and maintain work standards using time studies across all operational processes 
    • Performs work measurement and develops standard work, capacity planning, line balancing and efficiencies, Takt time analysis, and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
    • Establish and manage proactive ergonomic processes that evaluate, recommend and implement improvements to work area, tools and fixture design
    • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
    • Be responsible for the design, collaboration and execution of the layout of the manufacturing building(s) as well as overall process and product flow
    • May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
    • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
    • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace/Machine Shop preferred)
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, essential
    • Ability to act independently and drive projects – identify critical paths, develop and execute work around and or mitigation plans for issues and deliver projects on time within cost
    • Deal well with high-pressure situations, shifting priorities, and competing interests 
    • Experience with Syteline (ERP system) preferred
    • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training a plus
