The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for deployment, operations and optimizing the division IT infrastructure. This position will help create the strategy to help implement the growing infrastructure needs of the company.  As the Infrastructure Manager, he or she will be responsible for understanding the business requirements and translating that into a robust and redundant infrastructure foundation.  Thus, applying a mix of technical experience and infrastructure skills to deliver an optimized and more streamlined system solution that will achieve best practice and drive operational efficiencies.  This role will need to work closely with the Enterprise Infrastructure, Network and Security teams to make sure that this is held as a very high priority.


This role will be responsible for the following Targeted Outcomes:

  • Build strong relationships with team members and develop effective team processes to meet organizational goals
  • Lead and guide the current IT team to better understand and utilize the processes in place to align with great customer service and SLA requirements
  • Build core standards and policies to help frame a solid, easy to manage environment for customers and IT personnel.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and improvement of the IT organization by identifying, resolving, and eliminating the cause of the issues



The Infrastructure Manager will have the following Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and design the enterprise businesses infrastructure requirements.
  • Work closely with other IT groups to co-ordinate priorities and requirements for upcoming IT projects.
  • Act as a level 3 support person to help troubleshoot issues that levels 1 and 2 cannot resolve.
  • Manage all server, storage and network upgrades and new technologies until the systems are stable and operational in a production environment.
  • Partner with the Enterprise teams to help design and implement a strong technical foundation.
  • Attend future project meetings to co-ordinate infrastructure needs with the business managers and leaders.
  • Create a solid environment that is technically sound and redundant to make sure that business continuity is a top priority.
  • Maintain all systems to be up to date with firmware / software patches as required.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all service and maintenance requirements for infrastructure equipment.
  • Provide direction to others on the IT team engaged in design, configuration, interfacing/integration and development activities
  • Help manage infrastructure security on an enterprise level, being responsible for third party penetration testing and ongoing monitoring.
  • Manage all related audit activities, documenting all changes and using the correct policies and procedures to implement changes.
  • Provide leadership to IT team members to help improve overall customer satisfaction based on policies and procedures and SLOs



The successful candidate will typically have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science or related field
  • 8 to 10 years working in an IT related role and operations management organization
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience with design and implementation of infrastructure technologies including servers, storage and networking.


  • Strong knowledge in infrastructure design of Cisco hardware and software products
  • Strong knowledge of Netapp and EMC storage products
  • Strong knowledge of Dell server products and VMWare Virtual technologies
  • Experience with Cisco VoIP phones and systems
  • Project Management and business case development expertise (PMP certification would be a plus)
  • Manufacturing technology experience
  • Engineering based software solutions such as Catia, eNovia a plus
  • Centralized Cisco Wi-Fi
  • Cisco ISE / Network Access Control (NAC) experience
  • Strong understanding of security solutions and integrity

  • Some travel will be required for site visits with team members and stakeholders
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Safely drive a company vehicle within the site to provide hands on support for the location



  • Able to lift and carry equipment such as printers, PC's and monitors:
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to push/pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Able to carry 10 lbs. or less
  • Able to climb up to 3 flights of stairs

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
