Triumph Group Inc. is a leader in the design, development, manufacturer, repair, sales, and life cycle support of aircraft control and actuation systems and structures. Triumph Integrated Systems located in Redmond, WA is the systems engineering and integration focal for Triumph Group companies. We are leaders in the next generation of motion, control, and power systems for commercial and military aircraft and rotorcraft. This position will support our Machine Shop on first shift (7AM-3:30PM).



  • Operate machinery with supervision.
  • Inspect work with some assistance using gaging and inspection devices to verify conformance.
  • Maintain adequate productivity and quality levels and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Follows guidelines established for work scheduling and understands delivery objectives.
  • Participates in continuous improvement practices such as 6S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping or other improvement projects or teams.
  • Communicates pertinent information well with others and is a team player.
  • Good work ethic and maintains good attendance.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by lead/manager.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position



  • Good work standards, and housekeeping.
  • Solid math skills: Advanced Mathematics a plus. Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Familiar and capable of using a variety of inspection devices.
  • A strong desire to become a machinist is critical.


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years in the manufacturing field


Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, peers and management. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, part prints, process documentation, and work center guidelines.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Walk
  • Stand for up to 3 hours between breaks
  • Use hands.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift/and or move up to 60 pounds
  • Seeing - Must be able to see well enough to read reports and use a computer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Work closely with experienced machinists; learn the operation and set-up of a variety of machine tools. Master necessary skills and knowledge including:
    • CNC machine operation, setup, and adjustment
    • Manual machine operation such as heli-coil installation tools and Presses
    • Use of precision measuring devices
    • Completion of required paperwork
  • Grow in machining knowledge and skills in preparation for a possible Machinist position.
  • Gain understanding of shop routings, materials, fixtures, tooling, and locations.
  • Candidates should have a stable education and/or employment history as well as good transportation.
