Responsibilities

  • Receives, stores and issues a wide variety of parts, details and hardware to support shop operations
  • Store parts and materials in bins, drawers, and racks, identifying part and stored location
  • Maintains necessary records, logs and reports on receipt and disbursement of supplies, establishing and modifying minimum/maximum levels to maintain shop operations
  • Receives, or prepares necessary kits of parts, material and hardware as required, ascertaining that all parts are available and accounted for in kit
  • Prepares and issues shortage and rush item lists and requisitions to replenish supplies and minimize shop delays
  • Prepares material and paper work for return of overstock, wrong parts and defective or malfunctioning parts to parts control
  • Operate material handling motorized equipment in the internal movement of parts, details and hardware and equipment in support of production requirements
  • Notifies issues and discrepancies to supervisor in a promptly manner
  • Performs good housekeeping chores in area
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

The successful candidate will typically have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in inventory.

Certification on Forklift operation and/or other material handling motorized vehicles and equipment, packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous material preferred.

Knowledge of SAP a plus.

Must be willing and able to work any shift and weekends, if required to support production demands.
