Triumph Integrated Systems provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufactures around the globe. We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. 
Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph employs approximately 120 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems. 


We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to secure quality suppliers of material and components covering price, delivery, inventory levels and quality targets.

Reporting into the Op-Co Director of Supply Chain, the effective, knowledgeable, and committed Supply Chain Manager will oversee and conduct data analysis to improve our supply chain operations.  This is a critical role in our organization, charged with increasing efficiency and reducing costs.  Our ideal candidate will have a highly analytical mind and a strong business acumen directed toward a commitment to optimization and efficiency.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are non-negotiable skills for this role.  Exceptional management skills, approachability, clarity in giving direction and delegating responsibilities, and an ability to see the big picture will ensure success in this position.  Our overall goal is to find the right person to help our supply chain run as smoothly and profitably as possible.


  • Oversee creation of processes and methods to gather supply chain data to effectively support business decision and customer needs.
  • Process and analyze data, identifying problematic areas and developing a plan to make strategic improvements.
  • Design and implement necessary supply chain optimization projects to strategically align with Op-Co, BU and Corporate supply chain initiatives.
  • Develop requirements and standards (e.g. procurement, shipping, etc.).
  • Analyze, optimize, and oversee inventory procedures.  Actively representing the Supply Chain function in corporate wide TIP initiatives.
  • Commitment to uncovering the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules.
  • Track KPIs and generate reports for supply chain performance.
  • Identify new suppliers, visit existing suppliers and negotiate terms of the supply agreements including discount structures and volume rebates.
  • Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers ensuring a competitive price and on time delivery for production.
  • Foster and maintain a close working partnership with Program Management, Engineering, and Contracts departments on the evaluation of new and existing materials components in support of new product development.
  • Evaluate bid or make recommendations based upon technical and cost competitive factors.
  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
  • Lead and manage the Supply Chain team, ensuring their continuous development and building a collaborative team environment.
  • Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed. Determines the best supply source by analyzing competitive RFQ’s.
  • Develops and issues RFQ packages to prospective suppliers.
  • Evaluates the most appropriate supplier to be used for various purchased items and advises team members and/or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.  Acts as a liaison between the Company and suppliers.
  • Ensures on time delivery by expediting suppliers as required. Ensures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company. Drives On-Time delivery above 95% overall from all key suppliers.
  • Provides support to internal customers by advising of any trends in cost, quality, or purchase order status.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred.
  • 10 years’ experience in manufacturing and commodity purchasing role.
  • At least 4 years of management experience
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing practices and negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
  • Experienced in MRP systems is essential
  • Strong leadership skills to overcome challenges and achieve results.
  • Analytical skills required to solve complex issues.
  • Ability to read blueprints a plus
  • Able to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel to suppliers, customers, other Triumph locations, etc. as needed.
