Triumph Integrated Systems provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufactures around the globe. We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs.  


Based in Yakima WA, Triumph Fluid, Power and Actuation employs approximately 300 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development and manufacturing of hydraulic actiona systems and components.


We are currently seeking a Buyer who will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.


  • Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies
  • Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.
  • Resolves problems and issues arising from purchase of service and equipment.
  • Compiles and analyzes statistical data to establish price objectives.
  • Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintains current and accurate purchase order data in the purchasing system (e.g. delivery dates, pricing, change orders)
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance.
  •  Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
  • Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
  • May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  • Closely work with Program Management and Engineering to support new products
  • Ensure appropriate quality instructions and customer requirements are provided to suppliers.
  • Negotiate year-over-year cost reductions and long term agreements
  • Drive savings programs throughout the organization
  • Manage total supplier delivery performance, support supplier business reviews and manage and monitor OTIF and Overdue performance metrics.
  • Continuously improve sourcing processes through the implementation of new tools and processes. 


  • BS in Business Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline. MBA a plus
  • College degree in supply management required
  • Previous experience in a purchasing role is preferred: Aerospace experience a plus
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Government regulations including ITAR and Export Control
  • Working knowledge of ERP applications, specifically related to MRP and Inventory Control.
  • Advanced MS Office application skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
