The Quality Inspector will perform examination and verification of incoming material, WIP, and finished goods using visual inspection and measuring devices, to ensure the required specifications are met.


  • Planning, developing and implementing inspection standards and methods in accordance with approved technical data
  • Maintain all approved technical data including the operations specification
  • Ensure calibration checks are performed on all inspection tools and equipment used within the area
  • Ensure the proper execution and issue of the maintenance release is performed
  • Ensure that final acceptance has been accomplished for all incoming product
  • Provide continuity of inspection responsibility between shifts or during work turn-over
  • Ensure rejected and unserviceable parts are handled and segregated in accordance with internal work instructions
  • Train and assist employees in the proper compliance to internal work procedures and practices.
  • Use LEAN Manufacturing principles within daily functions to streamline process flow and support the overall continuous improvement
  • Interface with Buyers, Planners, Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers & Quality Engineering Departments



  • Able to interpret and work from Engineering drawings.
  • Able to work with close tolerance piece parts and gages +/- .0001.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)
  • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools for dimensional inspection
  • Proficient in the use of optical comparator
  • Able to work on multiple projects.
  • Determine acceptance or rejection of products and materials
  • Work independently to accomplish visual and dimensional mechanical inspection processes to maintain the highest customer quality requirements
  • Review inspection documentation created in production, and receiving inspection to ensure required measurements are performed and audit that measurements are performed correctly
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and containment of suspect, non-conforming, and reject material
  • Complete reports and logs both manually and electronically
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to work under limited supervision

  • Basic Math Skills
  • High school diploma/GED

  • Experience with AS9102 FAIR requirements
  • Minimum 5 years previous dimensional inspection experience preferred
  • Team player, good communication skills.
  • Basic Computer Skills: proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel etc
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
