Supervises employees who put together component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, packaging or completed units.
Plan, instruct, and supervise hourly and salaried individual contributors. Engage in performing oversight and improvement functions within the functional quality organization. The incumbent will possess the skills to define regulatory and design requirements in a quality context. As a leader in a high paced production environment this position ensures the product quality, test and delivery of the Company's products meet customer requirements. Must work well as a part of an IPT that includes the major operating functions of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, engineering, experimental, facilities, maintenance, and materials. Must have prior quality leadership experience in MRB, Structural Aircraft Assembly, Engineering Change Board, cost reporting, man loading, and customer liaison interfacing daily. Must be able to read and interpret aircraft level drawings, sketches, specifications and pertinent instructions. Requires knowledge of Company policies, Collective Bargaining Agreement and other applicable procedures.
5 years of quality related experience with the majority of the experience in a manufacturing and assembly quality leadership role
The qualified candidate will typically have a Bachelor's Degree 5 years of Supervisory/Team Lead experience, Bonding and/or Assembly Inspection experience highly preferred
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training or experience
Experience with inspection requirements planning/control Aircraft/aerospace industry experience is highly preferred
Experience working in a Union environment
Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
