Supervises employees who put together/inspect component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, or completed units.
Plan, instruct, and supervise multiple units of hourly employees. Engage in performing certain functions and skills essential to manufacture or support the manufacture, test and delivery of the Company's products assuring that established schedules, cost and performance levels are met. Includes the major operating functions of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, engineering, experimental, facilities, maintenance, materials and quality assurance. Coordinate, monitor, and implement efforts in management planning and reporting such cost reporting, man loading, load charts, work around and recovery schedules. Negotiate change schedules, incorporate engineering design changes, salvage actions and initiate work around as required. Generally requires ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, specifications and pertinent instructions. Requires knowledge of Company policies, Collective Bargaining Agreement and other applicable procedures.
Basic Qualifications: 3 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 3-5 years of Supervisory/Team Lead experience Bonding and/or Assembly Inspection experience highly preferred. Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training or experience preferred. Experience with materials planning/control Aircraft/aerospace industry experience is highly preferred. Experience working in a Union environment Experience with Microsoft Office Applications Demonstrated Leadership Successes
