Industrial Engineer to support Red Oak Facility.
Plans production facilities and equipment layouts; determines the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may plan and schedule training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. Process, product and quality improvements. Participate in improvement activity teams (Kaizen and Six Sigma Projects) Utilize LEAN and Six Sigma tools to identify issues (ex. DMAIC, DOE, FMEA, Process Mapping, Design for Flow, Value Stream Mapping). Train plant personnel LEAN and Six Sigma tools and techniques
WORK EXPERIENCE: Requires knowledge of production processes and understanding of the Indusrtrial Engineering discipline, inclucing knowledge of re-engineering techniques and methods (LEAN Six Sigma, DMAIC, and Minitab). Requires project management skills with knowledge of Aerospace products and services. Requires leadership skills, organization skills, and analytic skills, plus Mathematics / Statistics skills (Six Sigma Blackbelt preferred). Requires proficiency at using Microsoft desktop tools. Requires communiaction skills, including written and verbal communication as well as ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels of management and customer. Requires ability to identify customers' needs and takes appropriate actions to meet those needs Requires BA/BS in Industrial Engineering or equivalent plus four (5) years related experience.
