Responsibilities

Following prescribed methods and procedures, selects and negotiates the purchase of materials/services with approved vendors and places the order to meet material requirements relative to quantity and timing by performing the following duties.

  1. Plans material requirements using company’s ERP system.
  2. Reconciliation of weekly Exception Reports.
  3. Obtains follow up on open orders and updates ERP system.
  4. Purchases raw materials, components and services at the lowest possible cost with acceptable standards of quality and service within established time frames.
  5. Maintains competitive sources of supply for materials, components, services.
  6. Creates Request for Quotes, negotiates and sets up Blanket Purchase Orders.
  7. Responsible for supplier returns and debit memos.
  8. Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating supplier needs and requirements thought out the organization.
  9. Manages suppliers, materials and inventory consistent with the requirements of a lean, Six Sigma manufacturing environment.
  10. Resolves issues and disputes with suppliers.
  11. Purchase of MRO items.
  12. Ensures conformance to organization goals and initiatives, ensuring timely completion.
  13. Ensure proper safety procedure is followed within the team environment.
  14. Assists in the maintenance of a business culture which supports the Company’s overall business objectives and goals.
  15. Maintain clean work environment in full compliance with company, customer and government regulations.
  16. Trains others as required

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience
  • 3 years related experience in an aerospace sheet metal manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow and comprehend verbal and written instructions as well as present information in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measurement in percentage, fractions and decimals to calculate interests discounts, volume, etc.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse and team environment.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and Windows.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

CPIM/CPM Certification

 

REQUIREMENT:

Must be a US Person as defined under ITAR regulation to be considered.
