    Responsibilities

    The Enterprise Security Engineer provides technical expertise and functional knowledge on Enterprise systems and security applications. As a member of the IT Team, the Enterprise Security Engineer is responsible for managing best-in-class security strategies to accomplish goals. The Enterprise Security Engineer will monitor, advise and act as liaison between functional and development teams,  third party hosting providers, provide ongoing IT and business support and is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and managing security systems and resources.

     

    • Research new and better ways of mitigating security risks using emerging technologies and solutions
    • Provide Security Solutions Engineering support for internal and managed solutions
    • Technical skills would range from knowledge of ERP security to forensic analysis, password synchronization, management of Internet filtering, vulnerability management solutions, security monitoring solutions, oversight of AD management and management of data loss protection technologies
    • Work with the IT Management Team to pro-actively produce and revise the overall IT Security Policy
    • Work with IT and business teams to manage project support activities
    • Work with the Enterprise Applications Team to secure applications
    • Work with the Infrastructure Team to ensure the integrity of the Windows and Unix based systems, WAN, LAN, wireless, and telephony systems
    • Investigate and respond to possible threats to Information Systems by analyzing results produced by using security monitoring tools.
    • Perform endpoint, application, and server malware remediation tasks including root cause analysis on security incidents.
    • Perform security risk and vulnerability assessments including remediation efforts.
    • Work within a service desk ticket system to manage day to day activities.
    • Increase Information Security awareness within the corporation by assisting with training on information security.
    • Assist with monthly security metric reports.
    • Communicate timely status updates (both verbal and written) to team members and management
    • Performs other security duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 10 years of IT experience (with a minimum of 5 years of Identify & Access Management security administration) system
    • 7+ years’ experience with companies that have successfully used IT as a business lever in driving optimization and change
    • Leadership skills, demonstrating the importance of good decision making and strategic discipline through example
    • IT Security Certification and/or and prior experience in a global security and compliance team
    • Strong understanding of security regulations with prior work experience in highly regulated industry
    • Multiple full lifecycle implementations and production support roles of an ERP security
    • Proven experience with managing IT projects and deliverables
    • Extensive experience with IT security technologies including forensics, DLP, network security, Identity & Access Management, AD administration, vulnerability management, and security monitoring
    • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
    • Demonstrated ability to work with business users to understand their processes and requirements to be able to create the appropriate information architecture, taxonomy, and solution approach
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of business both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to help others in the organization with IT security knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function
    • Ability to effectively articulate and communicate the pros and cons of creating a security solution to solve a specific business need
    • Excellent oral/written communications, analytical, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
