Triumph Engine Control Systems is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 500 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

 

Position

Triumph is actively recruiting a summer 2018 Materials Planning Intern to support a range of planning responsibilities in a fast pace manufacturing production environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with updating monthly metrics
  • Assist with weekly cycle counts
  • Assist with development and execution of site sales plan
  • Assist with JD Edwards inventory transactions and Shop floor expediting
  • Assist with Department continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Rising Junior or Senior
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Self-motivated
  • Knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas)
  • Familiarity with principles of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), product Bills of Materials and inventory management
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmen
  • Good interpersonal and team skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies used in eliminating waste from manufacturing processes helpful.
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent resident
