Triumph is organized into four market-facing Business Units and this position will be initially supporting Triumph Aerospace Structures supplier requirements being transitioned to new sources to support long-term business objectives for multiple commercial, business jet, and military programs. This technical project management position will provide project leadership to assure technical, supplier quality, achievement of first article schedule requirements, and transition of requirements into long-term production through coordination of supply chain and program leadership at multiple sites.


Responsible to lead and execute technical and project management of critical work transfer packages to key strategic suppliers to achieve specific program affordability business objectives. Require to provide technical and schedule project management oversite through coordination with key strategic suppliers senior leadership to develop and execute transition plans to support implementation of approved sourcing strategies from

“buy to buy” or “make to buy”.  Provide day-to-day team leadership and direction required to support supplier build package requirements, supplier development in doing business with Triumph, capability and capacity analysis, tooling requirements, and technical resolution in support of both project/program start-up and sustaining program requirements. Develop/execute technical corrective actions through coordination with program management, commodity management, supplier quality requirements and IPT functional team members. Lead efforts in translation of engineering requirements for supplier base, proactively interfacing with engineering and supplier from start-up phase of transition through first article. Leading efforts in technical problem solving and incorporating resolution.


Knowledge of overall supply chain processes, international and domestic suppliers, & thorough understanding of detail and assembly manufacturing and quality supply processes a must. Preferred candidate will have a working knowledge and experience in tooling, metallic structural detail and assembly manufacturing processes, and good communication skills. Conduct onsite analysis at suppliers pertaining to manufacturability processes and technical capabilities, and support development of statement of work for supplier request for proposal. Must have understanding of 3-D model base definition applications and ability to assess models, and support schedule critical items through technical leadership by implementing the appropriate corrective actions to assure transition from first article startup into production.


Travel will be required and can be extensive on start-up projects to achieve program objectives. Must be able to work and travel independently to achieve results, and ability to travel domestic and internationally as assigned up to fifty percent plus of time. Excellent technical, project management, communication skills, & being a self-starter in a dynamic environment is a must. BA/BS required or equivalent plus minimum of  10-15 years of related experience. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills, and in being comfortable and skilled at communicating and influencing all levels of technical, quality, supply chain and supplier’s leadership. Previous aerospace manufacturing industry experience required and candidate should have knowledge of technical, supplier quality and supply chain process along with knowledge of two or more aerospace structural manufacturing processes for assembly (structural, welded, tubing, etc.), sheet metal, machined parts, and composite fabrication along with understanding of tooling requirements. Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and various analysis tools.
