Triumph Engine Control Systems is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 500 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.



Triumph is actively recruiting a summer 2018 Test Engineering Intern to support a range of technical responsibilities in a high pace manufacturing production environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.


  • Use basic electrical analysis instruments (i.e. oscilloscopes, multi-meters) to assist with component level analysis
  • Assist with the development, building, and incorporation of new test equipment for both new, and existing electronics products
  • Provide new and innovative solutions to help reduce test touch time by using current technology and software


  • Rising Junior or Senior
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent electrical, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to solder, build cables, and test equipment, using both hand and power tools.
  • Must be self-motivated, team oriented
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
  • Familiarity with principles of The Test Equipment Design, and knowledge of automation to drive continuous improvement are a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person
  • Must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent resident
