Responsible for developing compelling sales strategy and tactical plans for products and services that achieve growth and profit targets of the company. Implement strategies and plans directly and through management of TPCI sales team, as well as maximizing utilization of corporate salesforce to achieve performance objectives. Analyzes existing and anticipated customer and market requirements and promotes consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements. Participates in the preparation of company strategic and business plans, including annual corporate submittals. Provides market input to and participates in Research and Development team efforts. Identifies new applications or improvements to products. Develops strong relationships with both existing and potential customers. Maintains technical proficiency for the position incumbent, and of the sales team, sufficient to identify customer and market opportunities and present company solutions, which utilize company products and services. Leads major proposal efforts, establishing capture plans, effectively communicating the company’s value proposition using a variety of methods, including presentations, proposals, white papers, etc. Keeps informed of new products and other market trend information of interest to the company and its customers. Provides market intelligence to management.

 

Identifies prospective customers and their needs selling TPCI solutions. Provides interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing and program management team members. Represents the company at various conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to attract new business opportunities.

 

Ensures alignment of customer technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical specifications of company products. Prepares and conducts technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives. Establish pricing strategies. Prepares sales forecasts.

 

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Management of sales team
  • Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
  • Responsible for new business growth and sales
  • Represents the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
  • Identifies and develops compelling plans for new business development opportunities
  • Works directly with customer contacts and purchasing agents. Lead and coordinate efforts to resolve customer issues and concerns and provide official response back to the customer accordingly.   Communicate official TPCI issues and concerns to the customer. Such issues and concerns include, but are not exclusive to performance problems, communication and process problems, requests for data and other special requests to and from the customer.
  • Responsible for resolution of customer complaints.
  • Responsible for working with Capture Management on quotes; leading internal and external bid package reviews either directly or via direct reports; negotiation of contract.
  • Focal for customer contract requirements review
  • Responsible for creation of sales and marketing strategic and tactical plans

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with finance and/or marketing/sales concentrations required.
  • Master’s degree preferred

 Experience:

  • Extensive (6 to 10 years) sales and marketing experience representing manufacturing organizations in the aerospace market. Broad knowledge of program management, manufacturing technologies, pricing strategies.
  • Experience in aerospace composites, interiors structures and/or insulation systems preferred.

 Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of business and finance practices; familiarity with TPCI products – and application with the aircraft. Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills. Proficiency with computer programs. Ability to work with a diverse group of people in manufacturing, engineering, finance, and management. Ability to manage time effectively.

 Decision Making/Supervision/Resource Accountability:

Must be able to decide upon type of sales strategy that will appeal to customers and make customer decisions that will build and maintain a positive relationship with customers. Responsible for authorizing purchases of services, materials, supplies and equipment valued at more than $10,000 annually.

 

Additional Reporting Structure: Has dotted line reporting to Sr. Director of Business Development

  

Equipment/Tools Used:

Office computer systems accessed from desktop computer. Telephones.

 

Environmental/Physical Factors:

Work is customarily performed in an office setting with a normal temperature range. Lifting is generally limited to usual office equipment and supplies.

 

May be required to travel up to 40% - 60%.

 

Must be able to travel and work in various TPCI locations.
