Triumph Integrated Systems provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufactures around the globe. We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. 
Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Electrons and Controls employs approximately 500 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include specializing in the design, development, certification, manufacture and repair of fuel pumps, fuel metering units, fuel controls and electronic engine control systems for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft servicing military, commercial, regional and business jet market segments.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineering Team Lead to join our West Hartford team.  This Team Lead will direct other Systems Engineers and work in a team environment closely coordinated with the Customer, Program Management and other engineering disciplines. 


  • Project team leadership
  • Project management (scheduling, budgeting and cost tracking)
  • Balance multiple projects and tasks when required
  • System definition (software, electronics and hydro-mechanical)
  • Computer simulation and system validation
  • Requirements definition/allocation
  • Formal hardware and software verification
  • Customer engine and aircraft test support


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in aerospace, defense, automotive or applicable field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering required; MS a plus.
  • Prior supervisory or project leadership experience preferred.
  • System design skills including development of system architectures, trade studies and requirements/specification development.
  • Strong knowledge of system sizing/analysis tools (Matlab Simulink) and requirements capture tools (DOORS) is a must; UML/SysML
  • Knowledge of RTCA DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 and ARP4754 specifications.
  • Basic understanding of reliability, FMEA, FTA, and/or CCA.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in failure analysis and troubleshooting complex systems
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10-15%.
