Responsibilities

  • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, printed circuit board pattern films, and design data in order to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • Analyzes engineering drawings to define configuration of parts and determine type and sequence of machine operations.
  • Selects program routines for the most efficient computer calculation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part.
  • Observes machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications.
  • May be involved in product/process analysis for performance, cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Catia V5 and Vericut 7.4 or 8
  • Must have ability to interpret engineering documentation and write appropriate shop floor work instructions.
  • CNC Machining experience a plus.
