Responsibilities

Responsible for designing policies and procedures that help prevent harm to workers and property.  Audits facility, job sites and areas, processes and procedures to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment adn materials.  Evaluates, assesses and alters safety procedures and policies for the benefit of the employees and clients.  Analyzes accident reports adn evaluates injury case studes.  Prepares and conducts safety training sessions for employees and vendors.  Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.  Researches environmental regulations and polices and institues changes to ensure compliance.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience. 
  • Heavy manufacturing experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards required. 
  • Additional consideration will be given for professional certifications (i.e. CSP, CHMM, or CIH). 
  • Must have ability to train, influence, and motiviate team members. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
