The Program Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for the management and control of cost performance for all elements for program execution. As the proprietor of program cost performance, the candidate will collaborate with Program Management and functional leadership to develop comprehensive assessments of EAC’s and financial risks.    



Key Experience and Capabilities

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience in evaluating performance across a broad range of operational and functional function.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills for effective interface program and functional management.
  • Ability to identify pending risks or barriers that threaten financial performance.
  • Experience in developing and presenting briefings to senior management and leadership.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and problem solving.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive briefings of monthly program cost performance, budget variances and financial risks.
  • Lead program-wide activities for the development and review of quarterly EAC‘s and profitability analysis.
  • Support the development of bi-weekly executive Program Management Reviews.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain management for assessment of Material cost reductions and schedule milestones.
  • Review and validate the timing of forecasted program costs, budgets and revenue recognition.
  • Develop business case analysis and justification for proposed investments and cost reduction initiatives.


Successful candidates typically will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivilent (Business or Finance preferred)
  • 10+ years related experience
  • Leadership experience with previous experience as a member within an IPT or Matrix environment
  • Stong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong Analytical skills and Problem Solving abilities
  • Self Directed with ability to make quick decisions
