Triumph is organized into four market-facing Business Units and 22 operating companies. As a member of Triumph Aerospace Structures – Red Oak (TASRO) Operating Company, the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Leader will provide a valuable skill set to assist in improving the site’s Supply Chain performance.


The incumbent will partner with the Supply Chain Management Team, Operations Leaders, Customers, and Supply Base to drive operational excellence, identify and execute Continuous Improvement projects, teach and educate continuous improvement concepts and techniques to drive value chain results (external and internal to the Operating Company organizations). The primarily purpose of this role is the successful execution of the continuous improvement plan set by the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Manager by leading and facilitating Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Kaizen events and projects to meet quality, delivery, cost, and inventory reduction metrics and goals.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Continuous Improvement Manager and Operating Company Leadership in the development and deployment of strategic and operational level Continuous Improvement plans.
  • Lead/facilitate Manufacturing and Business Process Continuous Improvement projects and/or events in the Supply Base.
  • Lead and direct Multi-Factor Root Cause Analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to mitigate probability of reoccurrence.
  • Conduct Supplier follow-up and monitoring to ensure that planned Supplier improvement implementation occurs in a timely manner and achieves it’s expected tangible benefits.


  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred with a concentration in engineering, manufacturing / operations, or an equivalent level of degree.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in operations and cross functional teams.
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating, coaching and implementing Continuous Improvement events and driving lean transformation with proven results.
  • Lean and Six Sigma Certifications or equivalents.
  • High energy, data driven, action and results oriented, with strong project management skills.
  • Must be able to work and travel independently and achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills, an understanding of culturally sensitive communications, must be comfortable teaching and presenting in front of large groups. Should be skilled at communicating and influencing at all levels.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and various analysis tools. Proficiency in MS Access and MS Excel VBA programming a plus.
  • Ability to travel (Domestic and International) approximately 40% to 50%.
  • Authorized to work in U.S.
