Triumph is organized into four market-facing Business Units and 22 operating companies. As a member of Triumph Aerospace Structures – Red Oak (TASRO) Operating Company, the Supply Chain MTO will provide a valuable skill set to assist in improving the site’s Supply Chain performance.

 

Responsibilities

Develop technical statements of work for Supply base during bid process.

 

Coordinate schedules with Suppliers and Engineering to track status of parts in support of delivery assurance.

 

Communicate part priority to Engineering to expedite progressive releases and final Engineering to supply base.

 

Work to resolve part constraint at Supply base due to technical / Commercial / business process issues.

 

Conduct onsite analysis at Suppliers pertaining to manufacturability and technical capabilities, and support development of statement of work for Supplier Request for Proposal (RFP) / Request for Quote (RFQ).

 

Evaluate Supplier Information Requests (SIRs) to provide rapid clarification of technical issues and submit Request to Engineering (RTEs) to revise Engineering.

 

Interrogate Catia models in order to evaluate the SIRs and subsequent technical actions.

 

Direct Supplier support for machining, fabrication, composite assemblies and complex mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing / Operations or related field is required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years well-rounded progressive leadership experience working in a highly complex and low volume manufacturing environment is required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience leading Lean / Six Sigma events and driving lean transformation with proven results is required. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred with a concentration in engineering, manufacturing / operations, or an equivalent level of degree.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in operations and cross functional teams.
  • 6+ years of experience facilitating, coaching and implementing Continuous Improvement events and driving lean transformation with proven results.
  • Lean and Six Sigma Certifications or equivalents.
  • High energy, data driven, action and results oriented, with strong project management skills.
  • Must be able to work and travel independently and achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills, an understanding of culturally sensitive communications, must be comfortable teaching and presenting in front of large groups. Should be skilled at communicating and influencing at all levels.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and various analysis tools. Proficiency in MS Access and MS Excel VBA programming a plus.
  • Ability to travel (Domestic and International) approximately 50% to 75%.
  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

 

Previous Aerospace / Aircraft manufacturing industry experience required.

 

Candidate should have technical knowledge of manufacturing processes for assembly, sheet metal, machined parts and composite component fabrication.
